Richmond Football Club
Overview and Client Profile
Formed in 1885 the Richmond FC is one of the 'big four' Melbourne football clubs. The club chose to centralise both their internal and soon to be external (supporter) communications on Intranet DASHBOARD.
As one of the most prominent Australian Football League (AFL) clubs it is important for the 'Tigers' to attract and retain members/supporters as well as provide internal business productivity tools to staff.
The intranet is used to:
- Store archived communications and media releases
- Cultivate community and support
- Support business processes
- Provide secure project spaces for the senior Coach, Football Director and recruiting staff throughout Australia

The Challenge
Richmond FC needed a central storage area for communications and a strategy to manage knowledge and information as people moved around the organisation.
In the past old media releases and internal communications items were hard to track down and would disappear when people left organisation. All external / internal comms will be stored on a searchable system (iD from now on).
In summary they needed a system that would:
Enable staff to search across any application, document or page; fast access to information
- Save them untimely and costly application development, or having to buy an expensive intranet system
- Empower non-technical staff to publish and build the intranet site
- Provide secure areas for sensitive information and project teams
