‘Come together’ – Intranets are re-emerging as a way to connect dislocated employees
With employees in constant movement all over the world, Jetstar is an ideal example of an organization looking to connect dislocated personnel. In late 2007, Jetstar decided it needed an adequate intranet system to keep its staff connected and engaged. “We had simply grown up as a business and we were starting to experience limitations in being able to communicate what we wanted, when we wanted,” says Jeff Martin, IT project manager for Jetstar.

SEEK’s new Intranet system helps it find with peace of mind
The company replaced its in-house intranet system with a smarter, easier tool from Intranet DASHBOARD late last year and has not looked back since.
While Seek, one of Australia’s top employment sites, was busy helping the public find jobs, its staff were struggling to find information they needed to do their jobs. Late last year the company tuned to an Intranet management solution, Intranet DASHBOARD (iD) and it has not looked back since.

As more employees seek alternative work arrangements such as telecommuting, employers are struggling to balance the desire to accommodate employee requests with a severe lack of trust in their employees.
